The method involves evaluating the variation of value pairs of real and imaginary parts of impedance as a result of chemical reactions of polar components at the boundary layer of one or both electrodes for supplying variable frequencies influencing the intensities of the reactions via the mobility of the polar components in the liquid. The impedance measurement is carried out by separate measurement electrodes between the supply electrodes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electrode arrangement; (2) a use of the method for controlling tenside delivery in washing machines.
