PURPOSE: An apparatus for sterilizing and drying underwear and a control method thereof are provided to obtain user's convenience by automatically performing sterilization and drying of underwear. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for sterilizing and drying underwear comprises a drying/sterilizing chamber for housing the contents to be dried and sterilized; a housing(200) receiving the drying/sterilizing chamber and having a door(210); a door switch sensing the opened/closed state of the door; a button operation unit(400) outputting a selection signal if a user selects cloth quality and wind strength modes, and a sterilization mode; a drying machine putting heated air to the inside of the drying/sterilizing chamber in; a sterilizing machine putting ozone, a sterilizer, to the inside of the drying/sterilizing chamber in; a main control unit controlling the drying machine or the sterilizing machine according to the selection signal of the button operation unit and drying/ sterilizing the contents in the drying/sterilizing chamber below the predetermined critical value of humidity and temperature; and a display unit(800) displaying the current sterilizing/drying states. Thus, drying and sterilizing works of underwear are conveniently performed. |
