The underframe has an upright preferably hollow column (1) of polygonal, oval or round cross-section and longitudinal (2) and/or cross bars (3) all made of corrugated cardboard. The walls of the column have at the top edge perpendicular slots (4a, 4b) arranged in pairs to interengage with slots (5a',5b') of the longitudinal and cross bars. The upper end faces of the cross bars protrude beyond those of the walls of the column to form a support plane. The table underframe can be used for advertising and can be printed or form a presentation display.
