The tractor (2) has a three-point hitch (3) with a horizontal hinge (6) at the side. A hydraulic actuator (7) may be used to lift the mowing machine from the horizontal position to the vertical portion and is connected to the main beam of the mowing machine (5). The mowing machine extends out to the side of the tractor when in its horizontal deployed portion and uses several cutters (4) rotating on vertical axes. The controls and drive pump for the actuator are mounted on the tractor.
