Flexible pipe element

The flexible metal hose forms part of a vehicle exhaust system. It has a helical or radially segmented corrugated outer sheath (1) surrounding a coaxial metal hose (10) whose outer diameter is less than the inner diameter of the outer hose. The inner and outer hoses are joined at their two ends. The gap between the two is filled by a woven or knitted hose (11). The wire core is in touch throughout and in compression with both the inner face of the outer hose and the outer face of the inner hose.
