<p>An auxiliary scanning feed mechanism (52) has a pair of curved feed guides (58a, 58b) for guiding a stimulable phosphor sheet (IP) along a curved feed path (P), and first and second roller pairs (60, 62) rotatable in synchronism with each other for gripping and feeding the stimulable phosphor sheet (IP) along the curved feed path (P).
