<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy such a characteristic as a stable crystal precipitation into powder film required in the powder for casting and further, if necessary, to simultaneously satisfy the enhancement of a viscosity and a basicity of molten slag. <P>SOLUTION: This powder for casting is the one, in which akermanite, gehlenite or melilite of a complete solid solution of both, is precipitated as a main crystal composition when the molten slag is solidified. In this way, both of the viscosity and the basicity of the molten slag produced by melting in a mold are high and the crystal precipitated in the powder film is stabilized to obtain a desired crystal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
