PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winch device having minimized variation of the rotation when the driving capacity of a hydraulic motor is switched in two steps to use the device. SOLUTION: In the winch device, the driving capacity of the hydraulic motor 12 for driving a winding drum 11 for winding a span wire 4 can be switched from the full capacity to the half capacity. When the condition of the hydraulic motor 12 rotated with the full capacity at a low speed is switched to the condition of rotation with the half capacity at a high speed, a discharge quantity adjusting member 22a of a hydraulic pump 22 is temporarily changed via a discharge quantity changing device 29 based on the command of operation from a control part 54 and the discharge quantity of the pump is reduced. Then, after a prescribed period of time elapses, the reduced discharge quantity is returned to the original quantity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
