A reconstructed result (13) is generated using a known reconstruction method, then the projections (14) of this result are calculated and substrated from the measured data (11), providing differential projections (15) which are used in the known reconstruction method to calculate a differential result (16) for adding to the first result in order to give a second result (17). This is followed by a number of iterative calculation steps in which the following result is obtained in the same way as the second result is obtained from the first result. The number of iterative steps can be pre-determined or set so that the procedure is stopped when the difference between two successive steps falls below a given value. |
