PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting surface which has excellent wear resistance, heat resistance or the like by a relatively simple method. SOLUTION: In the method of reforming a casting surface, the part to be reformed in the surface is coated with paste consisting of cemented carbide alloy powder containing 70 to 98% WC and 30 to 2% Co, Co based alloy powder containing 1 to 20% W and 15 to 32% Cr (if required, containing 0.05 to 4.0% C and 0.3 to 6.0% Si as well), and the balance Co, and a water glass based welding material to a thickness of 0.3 to 6.0 mm, and is hardened, and ferrous molten metal is cast therein. The volume ratio between the cemented carbide powder and the Co based alloy powder is 90/10 to 30/70. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
