PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously cast slab manufacturing apparatus capable of uniformly holding a cast slab entirely between a continuous casting device and a drawing-down roll, and preventing the cast slab from being cracked during the large drawing-down. SOLUTION: In the continuously cast slab manufacturing apparatus 10 comprising the continuous casting device 11 which cools the surface side of a molten steel 1 and feeds the molten steel 1 while performing the casting, and a pair of drawing-down rolls 12 to draw down the rectangular cast slab 2 fed from the continuous casting device 11 from the longer sides, a cast slab holding device 13 to hold each longer side of the cast slab 2 between the continuous casting device 11 and the drawing-down rolls 12 by pressurized water 4 is provided, and the diameter of the drawing-down rolls 12 is set to be≥500 mm.
