PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound image localization device with which a sound image is correctly localized by calculating the change portion of an external auditory meatus impulse response at an ear drum position due to wearing an earphone. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a sound image direction setting part 101 for setting a direction where the sound image is localized and a convolution arithmetic part 104 for performing convolution processing in a head part impulse response for controlling the sound image localization direction to be the set direction and in correcting information of external auditory meatus impulse response change owing to the insertion of a stereo earphone in accordance with the sound image localization direction concerning an inputted sound source signal.
