VASCULAR ACCESS PORT AND CATHETER

A vascular access port and catheter for use in association with same. The port has a length greater than its height and an access face that is angled with respect to the longitudinal axis of the port. The catheter has a first end for association with a port, and a second end with an angled intra-vascular flange and an extra-vascular retaining ring. The wall of the vessel is disposed between the intra-vascular flange and extra- vascular retaining ring to hold the catheter in place without the need of sutures.
