FIELD: oil and gas production, drilling, overhaul and underground repair of oil and gas wells, sinking and lifting downhole equipment in wells subjected to excessive pressure. SUBSTANCE: pipe sealing unit for die preventer includes body, upper operational and lower standby packs, hydraulic drive and hand drive. Upper operational pack is mounted for interaction with hydraulic and hand drives. Invention provides for possibility of assembly and disassembly of upper operational pack in well under excessive pressure as it is located in split barrel. Split barrel is anchored on side of upper butt of pipe sealing unit by means of nut. Hand drive is mounted for interaction with lower standby pack. Both drives are fitted with indicators " clamping " and " detachment ". EFFECT: increased reliability of sealing of well clearance across well-head which is under effect of excessive pressure of well. 3 cl, 4 dwg
