PURPOSE: A multi-session disk and a method for recording and playing the multi-session disk are provided to reduce a time required for reading TOC(Table Of Contents) in loading a disk by recording all session information in a specific area of the disk. CONSTITUTION: A multi-session disk is composed of a plurality of sessions. Each session area is made up of a lead-in area, a program area, and a lead-out area. All session information of the plurality of sessions are recorded in the lead-in area of the first session while the lead-in areas of the succeeding second and third session have session information of the corresponding session.
