PURPOSE: A driving circuit and a power supply unit for plasma display panel are provided to drive a sustain voltage for the plasma display panel and reduce a manufacturing costs of the plasma display panel by using a full bridge type inverter circuit having a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel includes a panel capacitance(221). A driving circuit for plasma display panel includes the first and the second freewheeling diodes(215,216), the third and the fourth freewheeling diodes(217,218), the first and the second inductors(219,220), the first and the fourth power switches(203,212), and the second and the third power switches(206,209). The first and the second freewheeling diodes are connected between an X electrode, a Y electrode, and a sustain voltage source. The third and the fourth freewheeling diodes are connected between the X electrode, the Y electrode, and a ground portion. The first and the second inductors are connected to the X electrode and the Y electrode, respectively. The first and the fourth power switches are used for applying the first voltage between the first and the second inductors. The second and the third power switches are used for applying the second voltage between the first and the second inductors. |
