PRINTER CAPABLE OF TRANSMITTING PRINT DATA TO REPLACING PRINTER AND PRINTING METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A printer capable of transmitting print data to a replacing printer and a printing method using the same are provided to save time for a printing by selecting a printer out of a plurality of printers connected to a network by considering a waiting time, an error, and so on. CONSTITUTION: The first storage(100) stores printing data received from an external device. The second storage(130) stores a network address of a candidate printer connected to a network. A judging unit(110) judges a printing possibility with respect to the printing data. If the printing is not possible, a control unit(120) transmits the printing data to a replacing printer. A user interface(140) receives the selected replacing printer for printing the printing data from a user. The judging unit(110) calculates a waiting time for printing data and judges whether the waiting time is less than a predetermined reference time.
