摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a total service management system and method for use in detecting that a service provider is not valid and then replacing it. SOLUTION: A GEV (generic evaluator) 25 having the functions of detecting errors and backing up data stores the credit values of all service providers so that clients (factory managers or the like) can select the service providers with the higher credit values. The GEV 25 periodically backs up the running condition and parameters of the service provider so that, if an error occurs in the service provider, the backup information of the running condition and parameters can be allocated to other service providers to keep on executing incomplete jobs, thereby enhancing the reliability of a distributed object-oriented system.
