PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder in which roller deformation in a stand-by mode is prevented. SOLUTION: The image recorder counts stand-by time (Step 106) when a control section 80 judges that paired feed rollers 42 for feeding printing paper A under exposure are in a stand-by mode (No in Step 104). A driving motor 82B is driven whenever the stand-by time elapses for a prescribed time to rotate the paired feed rollers 42 by a prescribed angle (Step 110). As a result, the nip position of the paired feed rollers 42 moves to surely prevent the rollers of the paired feed rollers 42 in the stand-by mode in a nip state from being locally deformed.
