<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording and reproducing apparatus capable of properly and exclusively controlling operations from a plurality of input devices of different kinds intermingled in the video recording and reproducing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 1 receives an operation instruction from a remote controller through a light receiving section 19 and receives an operation instruction from a computer through a network interface 20. In applying exclusive control to the operation from the remote controller and the operation from the computer, when the video recording and reproducing apparatus rejects the operation from the remote controller, the video recording and reproducing apparatus displays a state of processing the operation instruction from other user on a display apparatus 18 to inform a user of the remote controller about it, and when the video recording and reproducing apparatus rejects the operation from the computer, the video recording and reproducing apparatus returns data to be displayed on the display apparatus to the computer via a network interface 20 to inform the user of the computer about it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
