PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the generation of an uncomfortable noise when encoded data are decoded in the case of losing the continuity of these encoded data by the transfer error of the encoded data in an audio encoding device. SOLUTION: The encoded output of an audio encoding part 102 is temporarily held in an intermediate buffer 104, an intermediate buffer occupancy quantity 107 is calculated in a data transfer part 103, and a control part 106 reduces a volume 106 of the audio encoding part 102 by predicting it on the basis of the intermediate buffer occupancy quantity 107.
