PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angular contact ball bearing having a superior fatigue life, wear-resistance, and dimensional stability under high-temperature and high- speed operating conditions and having no sound defects which becomes noises. SOLUTION: The angular contact ball bearing comprises raceway rings including an inner ring and outer ring made of an alloy steel material, and a plurality of rolling bodies which is made of bearing steel and rotatably arranged in a peripheral direction between the inner ring and outer ring. The rolling bodies have a nitrided layer having a hardness not lower than Hv 800 as a surface layer, and have a surface roughness of 0.1μm Ra or less. The alloy steel material forming the raceway rings contains at least 0.9 to 1.2 weight % of Si, 0.7 to 1.5 weight % of Cr, 0.7 to 1.5 weight % of Mo therein, and carbonitriding treatment is applied to the surfaces of the raceway rings and rolling bodies.
