POLYESTER HIGHLY SHRINKABLE CONJUGATED FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester conjugated fiber having a high heat shrinkage percentage and excellent latent crimpability and suitable for affording a sun yarn for woven or knitted fabrics and nonwoven fabrics having excellent softness and stretchability. SOLUTION: This polyester highly shrinkable conjugated fiber is composed of a polyester A comprising polyethylene terephthalate as a main constituent component and prepared by copolymerizing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid having a metal sulfonate group in an amount of 3-7 mol% based on the whole acid component and a polyester B in which a main repeating unit is ethylene terephthalate. The difference between the polyester A and the polyester B in melting point is≥5°C and the difference between the polyester A and the polyester B in heat of melting is≥20 J/g. The dry heat shrinkage percentage at 170°C is≥15%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
