PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device by which not only a standard optical disk of a 12 cm standard and an 8 cm standard but also a noncircular disk can precisely be loaded to the center of a disk tray and which can be not only a horizontal type but also a vertical type. SOLUTION: A disk holder E held by a holder clamp mechanism F built in the disk tray 2 is provided in the center of the disk loading part of the disk tray 2 to keep the holding state of the disk holder E by the holder clamp mechanism F in an unloading state and to release holding of the disk holder E by the holder clamp mechanism F when the disk tray 2 is fixed at a fixed position in a loading state.
