PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing the sensitivity of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material without deteriorating image quality such as graininess. SOLUTION: The method for increasing the sensitivity of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material uses a polymer compound having a repeating unit represented by formula (1). In the formula (1), A<SP>1</SP>is H, alkyl, aryl, halogen or -CH<SB>2</SB>COOM<SP>1</SP>; L<SP>1</SP>is a linking group; B<SP>1</SP>is a residue obtained by removing one H atom from a pyrazoloazole compound represented by formula (2) and this substituent links with L<SP>1</SP>through R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>or X<SP>1</SP>; and M<SP>1</SP>is H or a monovalent cation. In the formula (2), R<SP>1</SP>is H or a substituent; Z<SP>1</SP>and Z<SP>2</SP>are independently N or -C(R<SP>2</SP>)=; R<SP>2</SP>is H or substituent; and X<SP>1</SP>is H or a substituent.
