A display control method of a display unit is a method for controlling pixel display in a display unit having a plenty of light emitting elements whose luminance varies depending on the current supplied and which are arranged in line direction and row direction. A current supply conductor for supplying current to the light emitting elements is supplied with current from one end or both ends of the row direction. Pixels are displayed on line basis according to the selection timing and erased on line basis according to the erase timing. For an arbitrary line, as compared to a period from a start to an end of the selection timing, the period between the moment when the pixels are displayed by the selection timing and the moment when the pixels are erased by the erase timing is controlled to be shorter.
