A gas pressurization type writing utensil comprising a writing tip (10) at the front end (14a) of a tube body (14), ink (12) received in the tube body (14) to be fed to the writing tip (10), a receiving sleeve body (18) made of a material exhibiting low gas permeability or gas impermeability and adapted to encapsulate at least a portion of the tube body (14) so as to define a space (16) communicating with the rear open section of the tube body (14), a pressurized gas sealed in the space (16), the pressurized gas pushing out the ink to the writing tip (10) so as to secure writability, a cladding member having higher heat resistance and/or moisture resistance than the receiving sleeve body for covering the outer periphery of the receiving sleeve body (18), whereby the pressurized gas is prevented from escaping to the outside by using a material exhibiting low gas permeability or gas impermeability and a simple arrangement.
