The present invention provides a production line and method for continuous diffusion surface alloying DSA or diffusion carbide surface alloying DCSA of workpieces including metal and ceramic articles, and the like. The production line provides continuous production for DSA and DCSA of workpieces utilizing a counter-rotating tunnel furnace and closed transport systems i.e., conveyor, cranes, and compressed air devices for moving containers, untreated and treated workpieces, alloying and oxidized mixtures, etc. thereby keeping the entire production line operatively connected and efficient.
