A recording medium includes an area for recording data which has been subjected to error correction/coding by a first error correction code. In this area, data of a format decodable by a second error correction code which is different from the first error correction code is mixed/recorded. The data of the format decodable by the second error correction code constitutes at least a part of encryption key data.
