A guide device for a line (4) or cable laid between two vehicle parts and bridging over a limited variable gap between the vehicle parts. The guide device consists of a sturdy guide pipe or tube (5) for guiding the line or cable between the vehicle parts, a retainer (6) for the guide tube or pipe and for positioning on one of the vehicle parts, as well as a guide receptacle for arranging on the other vehicle part and allowing mainly axial displacement of the guide pipe or tube, and shaped so that the guide pipe or tube (5) is securely carried even with a maximal spacing between the vehicle parts.
