A pattern-warp machine has a warping drum with a number of thread guides (11) moving around the drum, and a thread-feed station with a rotating creel and bobbins. The thread feed-station incorporates esp. an additional rotating creel (7') with several bobbins (9'). A selector (19, 19') allows thread (12) to be drawn to the guides (11) from one creel (7) or the other (7'). The assembly has a rotating creel displacement unit (16) which presents the creel whose threads (12, 12') are in use (11) to the warp drum (1). The selector has the same number of thread holding positions as bobbins (9, 9'). Also claimed is an operating process.
