A loudspeaker cabinet or 'box' has one or more woofers (11) arranged one above the other in a first housing (10) and a number of medium range-/ tweeter-loudspeakers arranged in a second housing (20) as an in-line radiator and joined to the woofer loudspeakers, via a frequency separation filter. The second housing (20) is arranged on the axis (Xt) or the axes of the woofer loudspeakers (11) with a given spacing (d) in front of them, and is designed at least on its rear face as an acoustic absorber.
