PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interior structure of a car body side wall furnished with an arm rest having strength durable against force applied at the normal time and capable of effectively absorbing impact due to side surface collision by developing an air bag on an interior surface of the car body side wall at the time when a vehicle laterally collides.

SOLUTION: This interior structure 1a of a side door (car body side wall) on an automobile (vehicle) furnished with a side air bag device 10a has a hollow arm rest part 40a projected in a developing route of the air bag 11 of the side air bag device 10a, and the arm rest part 40a constitutes its characteristic feature of being constituted to open the developing route of the air bag 11 by deforming itself by developing force of the air bag 11.
