PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile filter bed-type filter which realizes the continuous and stable delivery of clear treated water and also the precise filtering operation. SOLUTION: This filter works as follows: Untreated water is forcibly supplied, in a downward current, to a filter medium layer (4) formed of layers of diatomaceous earth (3a) as a filter medium (3), in a closed filtering vessel (2), and even microsuspended substances contained in the untreated water are captured by the porosity of the diatomaceous earth (3a). In addition, the contaminated diatomaceous earth (3a) is transferred to a separation tank (8) located above, passing through an airlift pipe (5), while being stirred and cleaned together with the treated water, using a compressed air. After that, the earth (3a) is cleaned inside the separation tank (8) by an ultrasonic wave, and the completely cleaned/regenerated diatomaceous earth (3a) is returned to the upper face of the filter medium layer (4) and thus a continuous and stable precision- filtering operation can be performed.
