PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the quality of a game board and reduce costs for a manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In a substrate process, a fixing layer 2 for fixing ink for a design 3 is formed on a surface of a square game base plate 1 such as a plywood board. When the fixing layer is formed by transfer or inkjet printing, with paint predominantly composed, for example, of a white synthetic resin, on the surface of the base plate 1, the fixing layer 2 can bring colors of the design 3 into prominence. In a pattern process, the design 3, in which a design board surface of the game board 22 is formed on the dried fixing layer 2, is formed in a layered manner by transfer or inkjet multicolor printing. In a surface process, a protective layer 4 for protecting the design 3 against a ball running down onto the game board 22 is formed by the transfer or inkjet printing, with paint predominantly composed of a see-through synthetic resin, on the dried layer of the design 3.
