PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for retaining an inside seal in a hydraulic hammering mechanism, which has improved overall economical property. SOLUTION: An elongated portion 12 made of elastomer is formed as an independent elastic supporting element. The supporting element forms a dismountable coupling portion for supporting the elongated portion 12 in the longitudinal and crossing directions together with a tool guide 2 at a back side end portion 12c opposite to the inside seal 11. The coupling portion between the elongated portion 12 and the tool guide 2 is formed such that the elongated portion 12 engages with the tool guide 2 in a snap joint manner at a receiving portion 2a of the tool guide 2 formed to mount the elongated portion 12.
