PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker cap that reduces the cost of electric power and water used for boiling, and boils safely. SOLUTION: As the heating of a pot 26 is started with a maximum heating power while omitting an immersion cooking as a pre-heating process, it is made possible to boil in a short period. As the heating power is reduced after boiling, the dander of splashing hot water drops from a vapor exhaust 85 due to an abnormal boiling is prevented. Further, as it is made so that a small quantity of water remains in the pot 26 when the heating is stopped, temperature increase of the rice cooker main body 1 like an inner frame 24 can be restrained, and residual substances like calcium or magnesium hardly remain in the pot 26, and it becomes easy to clean the inside bottom of the pot 26.
