PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the low-cost IC card using a substrate which has unnecessary parts removed and is, for example, about a half as large as current one. SOLUTION: The IC card 4 uses the substrate 34 which is almost a half as large as an ordinary IC card and a cut 432 is formed along three sides; and a coil 430 is formed along the cut and tuning capacitor 420 and an electronic circuit 22 are disposed in the cut. Conductive patterns 422 and 424 are connected to wiring patterns (a) and (f) of the electronic circuit 22 and a conductive pattern is provided even on the reverse side of the electronic circuit 22; and the conductive patterns 422 and 424 and the conductive pattern constitute the tuning capacitor 420. The IC card 4 which is thus formed is folded back so that the top and reverse of the substrate 34 are inverted at parts inside and outside the cut 432, and then the coil 430 has opening area equal to that of an ordinary coil. |
