<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cleaning unit which is low in a manufacturing cost and is high in water cleaning performance and a waste water treating apparatus having this water cleaning unit. SOLUTION: Bamboo materials B of a required length having joints 2 are longitudinally halved allowing the joints 2 to remain, by which a plurality of the halved bamboo materials 1 are formed. A required number of such halved bamboo materials 1 are aggregated and bundled in the same direction. The many halved bamboo materials 1 among these materials are so arranged that the divided end faces 1a face each other and cross each other to whirl and stagnate the water between the adjacent halved bamboo materials 1, by which the water cleaning units M are formed. These water cleaning units M are installed in separating tanks S1 to S4 for cleaning the water.</p> |
