<p>PURPOSE: Provided are a method and an apparatus for processing cryptomeria chip being used as filler, habitat of microorganism, in a sewage disposal tank by advanced oxidation process (AOP), the method being capable of completely eliminating organic material or other toxic substance from the cryptomeria chip to prevent water pollution. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of chopping cryptomeria into a plurality of chips, inputting the chips into a basket(140) and dipping the basket(140) into a water tank for 10 hours to eliminate impurities, oxidizing the pretreated cryptomeria chips for 60 minutes to decompose organic material in the chips, and drying the chips. The apparatus comprises a treatment tank(110) for receiving a basket(140) having cryptomeria chips therein and storing water, an ozone aeration tank(120) installed in the treatment tank(110) for distributing ozone to the water in the treatment tank(110), an ultraviolet lamp(130) installed in the treatment tank(110) for photodecomposition of dissolved ozone to produce OH- radicals and a sediment remover(150) installed in the treatment tank(110).</p> |
