The fabrication of socks with a top elastic strip comprises initial forming of the toe section (2) with normal or Y type stitching of this fabric. Then the fabric is transferred from the short needles to the long needles, for normal or Y type stitching of the heel section (3). EMBODIMENT - The ankle zone is finalised with an elastic strip (4) located before a longitudinal mesh section above the instep zone (1).
