PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a misconnection monitoring system that a primary time switch of a main signal control signal inserts a test pattern, a monitor function is provided to each switch panel so as to monitor the test pattern between the switch panels, and each switch panel monitors the test pattern among them to particularize the position at which misconnection takes place. SOLUTION: The system of multi-stage connection configuration where a transmission apparatus, a time switch 10 in a cross connect section of an exchange, and a spatial switch 11 are connected in series is configured such that a host apparatus designates a connection destination/source package to select a FTS (Free Time Slot) pattern from a fixed position of the connection source and the time switch is used to replace the pattern with that of a fixed position of the connection destination.
