To tense a bricklayer's cord, two double angle irons are used with a thickness of 1.0-1.5 mm. The cord is passed through a hole (2) in each angle iron and secured at two cord holders (4). The angle irons are secured to the wood slats at the brickwork by sharp teeth (5) or magnets. A grip (3) is over the holes to position the cord together with an auxiliary grip (6).
