PURPOSE: An optical recording medium cleaner is provided to remove particles and damages generated on a recording face of the optical recording medium by polishing off the particles and damages. CONSTITUTION: An optical recording medium cleaner includes a switch for inputting various signals for polishing a recording face of the optical recording medium, an optical recording medium detector for detecting whether or not an optical recording medium exists, a controller for judging a signal inputted through the switch to output a control signal for polishing the optical recording medium, and a memory for storing data required for control and input data. The cleaner further includes a loading/unloading unit for loading/unloading the optical recording medium under the control of the controller, a display for visually displaying a control state of the controller and polishing state of the optical recording medium, the first servo motor(10) for providing a rotation force for rotating the optical recording medium in a predetermined direction, and the second servo motor(20) for providing a driving force for polishing the recording face of the optical recording medium. The cleaner also has a solenoid(22) having an electromagnetic force, a conductor(28) having a repulsion force according to the electromagnetic force of the solenoid, a spring(24) fixed to the solenoid and conductor to have a compression force, and a polisher(34,36) for polishing the recording face of the optical recording medium. |
