PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a polymeric solid electrolyte for a secondary battery and the secondary battery excellent in ion conductivity and mechanical strength. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing polymeric solid electrolyte for the secondary battery, the polymeric solid electrolyte is obtained by dissolving a metal salt and a fluorocarbon polymer with 10,000-1,000,000 average molecular weight, mixing an ether polymer consisting of ethylene oxide or propylene oxide or the both as the components with the solution and crosslinking and solidifying the mixture.
