The water craft (1) has a ring-shaped inflatable element (3) fastened detachable to its outside. The circumference of the ring when inflated is larger e.g. at least twice the size of that of the craft. Ring and craft are connected via ropes (2) with braking points. The inflatable ring has separate chambers (4), holder loops, emergency radar and/or radar reflectors, and emergency provisions. The ring is located in a peripheral channel in the body of the craft, which has a blow-off cover.
