<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict demands along the life cycle of a component for service, i.e., a new product start-up (rise period) to stable period, the abolition of the product, and a guarantee period after it (fall period: normally 7 years) by introducing multidimensional stock control (setting stock sections by plans) instead of current linear control as a managing method for the component for service and to realize efficient supply for that. <P>SOLUTION: The component management apparatus has a storage means which has stock sections by components and stores the quantities of the components in stock, a 1st transmitting means which sends order data to supplement components by the stock sections, and a 2nd transmitting means which reserves components by stock sections for stocks according to external orders and sends shipment data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
