PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise eliminating method capable of eliminating a noise signal included in an image signal without deteriorating image quality. SOLUTION: This noise eliminating method is provided with: a step for detecting a zigzag signal wherein the difference value of signal levels between two pixels adjacent along the horizontal pixel direction alternately takes a positive value and negative value (ST2); a step for determining whether the zigzag signal forms a striped pattern (ST3); a step for considering the zigzag signal as a normal image signal when the zigzag signal is determined to form the striped pattern (ST4); a step for considering the zigzag signal as a noise signal to extract the zigzag signal when the zigzag signal is not determined to form the striped pattern (ST5); and a step for filtering the noise signal (ST6).
