PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient generation of a mesh model, from a CAE model, for use in CAE. SOLUTION: IGES planes (both surfaces, the front and the back, of a solid model) and an STL neutral plane (a neutral plane between both surfaces, the front and the back, of the solid model) are obtained from the solid model in CAD data. Data for a CAE analysis is obtained by shifting the neutral plane to the median point on a line segment intersecting both surfaces, the front and the back, of the solid model at a normal line (a normal line obtained by weighted-averaging a plurality of mesh normal line vectors passing through the vertex of a mesh and surrounding the vertex) at a mesh in the neutral plane.
