PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power source suitable for a practical use by improving the efficiency of a switching element at a light load and realizing a stable operation control. SOLUTION: The switching power source comprises a switching element Q1, and a transformer T4 for supplying the energy induced in a secondary winding Ns to a load Z based on a DC voltage intermittently supplied to a primary winding Np by the element Q1.
